Almost 400,000 European employees work in the golf sector to keep golfers already in the game, attract new participants and develop elite athletes. With approximately 9 million of golf players in Europe each year and in order to achieve these goals, it is more than necessary for employees to get the appropriate skills and tools.

The “European Occupational Standards for Golf project” (Golf Stand) is a new project launched in October 2010. Its main objective is to produce a range of indispensable European occupational standards aiming at defining the skills and knowledge needed for golf professionals (improve the recognition of qualifications in the golf sector, put forward clear learning and career pathways, develop workforce, mobility and transparency…).

The project is led by StillsActive, stakeholders and other sector european bodies.
