Following its successful event “Eat well, drink well, move… A Small step for you, a big step for Europe” held on 17th September 2013, the European Alliance on Lifestyle Changes has been launched. Last 17th December, the Alliance gathered with its members during its inaugural meeting aiming at introducing the workplan and finalizing the action plan for 2014.
The second meeting of the Alliance will be held on March 25th at the European Parliament. Sport and Citizenship is proud to announce to it will join this new initiative, aiming at promoting active lifestyle as well as the integration of physical activity into everyday life. Our President, Laurent Thieule, joins this new Alliance.
MEP Santiago Fisas-Axeyla, Chairman of the EPP Group on Sport and Member of the Committee on Culture and Education at the European Parliament, will deliver a speech on the EU’s past and possible future achievements in the promotion of health-enhancing physical activity (HEPA).
This meeting will aim at defining a common vision and publishing a joint statement and a strategy.
